This is one of the hardest questions to answer as it's so different for everybody.  It all depends on what you plan on storing and for how long.  For example, do you plan on putting your property in storage and not needing any of it until you move it back out?  Or, do you need access to everything in the unit while it's in storage?

If you'll need to get at anything while it's in storage, you'll need to leave an aisle down the center for easy access to the back.  For this reason you'll have to plan on just a little bit bigger storage than what you might otherwise need going by the descriptions shown here.

Here you'll find average examples of what will fit into some of the sizes you can find available from the six Additional Self Storage locations.  These are just examples as one persons entertainment center may be a very small stand and another persons may be a whole wall unit.

5 x 5  (About the size of a closet)  This will hold small furniture such as a chest of drawers or chair, plus boxes and miscellaneous small items.  Perfect for the office or personal records and/or work tools and equipment.

5 x 10  (About the size of a walk-in closet)  Here you can store some furniture, for example a couch and chair, chest of drawers or dresser, box springs and mattress set, plus small items and boxes.  Also great for outdoor furniture, barbecue, lawn mower, garden tools, bicycles and/or motorcycle.

10 x 10  (About half the size of a one-car garage)  This will hold furniture from a small on-bedroom apartment without appliances, small boxes and small items.

10 x 15  (Just short of a one-car garage)  You can store furniture from a two-bedroom apartment without appliances or a one-bedroom apartment with appliances, miscellaneous items and cartons.  Also may be used to store a very small utility trailer and other small items.

10 x 20  (The size of a one-car garage)  This size will hold a large two-bedroom apartment or small one-bedroom house with appliances and additional storage.  May be used to store a car or truck and other miscellaneous items.

10 x 25  (A long one-car garage)  You can fit furniture from a large two-bedroom house with appliances, miscellaneous items and cartons in this one.  Also may be used to store a car, truck, or boat and additional storage space for garden equipment and/or household storage.

10 x 30  (This is the size of a long one-car garage with storage)  This space gives you the ability to store quite a bit with a vehicle or enough space for a large apartment or medium household.

12 x 30  (Tall 10-12 foot ceilings)  This will give you room for a three-bedroom house with appliances and storage shed and garage storage.  Or, room for a car, or boat, or truck and lots of extra room for storage of household goods.

12 x 40, 11 x 45, 12 x 45  (Large garage with tall ceilings and doors.  Available at 162nd Avenue only)  This is large enough for an RV motor home, business warehouse storage, or storage for everything in a large house.

10 x 20 Parking Space  This is an outside parking space for cars, boats, and trucks up to 20' in length.  Vehicles must be in good looking and running condition and kept currently licensed and tagged.

12 x 30 Parking Space (Not available at Burton Road - East or West)  This is an outside parking space for trucks, trailers and RV motor homes over 20' in length.  Vehicles must be in good looking and running condition and kept currently licensed and tagged.

Again, remember that these are just average recommendations and it all depends on whether you want to leave an aisle to get at all your possessions or not.  Each office may have other sizes available.  We hope you find this helpful and look forward to serving your self storage needs today and in the future.
